Panther Skin™ is a solid, random-cellular formed plastic with up to 1,000,000 closed cells per cubic inch. It is an inexpensive method to reduce aging aircraft concerns while dramatically increasing passenger safety from fire and corrosive elements that normally affect aircraft in a commercial environment. Very light weight and solvent-resistant, Panther Skin™, has excellent mechanical properties, high stability under heat, and the lowest K factor of all known insulates. Panther Skin™ is also highly resistant to deterioration. It has been proven to end fatigue or metal stress to the structure of aircraft, therefore enhancing the integrity of the entire structure. This procedure can be done during the regular d-checks on the airplane.

The lightweight strengthening material is created by a controlled reaction between two ingredients (isocyanate and polyol) in the presence of selected catalysts and additives. The reaction among these additives make additives makes this foam mixture rapidly expand up to 30 times its original volume and harden into rigid polyisocyanurate foam.
