This technology integrates eye-gaze tracking (EGT) for automatic computer cursor movement control, virtual keyboard for text and editing, and speech recognition for issuing voice-based commands and control. The integrated aspect of the design is based upon the use of the less intrusive (passive) remote eye-gaze tracking system, and resolves inherent calibration and jitter errors through a unique built-in-real-time neural network design. Inherent to this Multimodal interface is a visual graphic interface to train the system to adapt to the user. The guiding philosophy is to design a system that adapts to the user to yield a user friendly and reliable interface.
