The technology refers to utilizing three (versus two) physical dimensions to record, store, and retrieve information with substantially larger area density compared to any state-of-the-art memory technology. For example, with the proposed technology, the entire library of Congress could be recorded in a device the size of a dime within a few seconds. Today, TiVo-based TV sets, hand-held and other devices are market successes of which were primarily due to the implementation of an advanced memory system. Ultra-high-density and super-fast memory will find use in wide spread applications beginning with healthcare and ending with quantum computing which may make possible quantum teleportation.
